Advocacy Package: Healthy Indonesia Coalition (Koalisi untuk Indonesia Sehat (KuIS), an organization supported by HCP, together with its local partner at the University of Indonesia, developed an advocacy package aimed at local governments to allocate increased budgets for preventive health (e.g., family planning, immunization) as a cost-effective investment.

Handwashing campaign: Additionally, KuIS recently completed a hygiene improvement campaign focusing on hand washing with soap to prevent diarrheal disease in children under five in two provinces. The campaign materials, including radio jingles, spots and print materials have been incorporated into USAID/Indonesia's bilateral contract, the Environmental Services Program, which has reproduced the materials in four regions of the country as part of its initial communication programming in health and hygiene improvement.
