GDA - Commercial Model for Water Treatment Product Dates: 10/1/2003 - 3/31/2005
HIGHLIGHTS
This activity promotes use of safe water, and has three components: research, marketing, and behavior change communication. An intensive media campaign was covered by more than 70 newspapers and magazines, and combined with community based activities in 4 communities.
The intervention was also designed to promote and study behaviors associated with the commercial distribution of a point of use water treatment product. The Safe Drinking Water Alliance program worked to promote safe water, emphasizing the need to treat drinking water.
