HCP Signs Memorandum of Understanding with Zambia National Broadcasting Corporation

LUSAKA, Zambia —The signing of a unique Memorandum of Understanding between the Health Communication Partnership and the Zambia National Broadcasting Corporation  (ZNBC) took place today, broadcast on Zambian radio and television as a live event. 

ZNBC has committed to prominent placement of HCP television and radio programs on its national broadcast station, discounted air time, and value added time, in order to help move the Zambian HCP health programs forward.

The MOU was signed today by HCP’s Jane Brown on behalf of CCP Director Jane Bertand, and the Director General of ZNBC, Mr. Salasini, on behalf of ZNBC.

ZNBC has also asked HCP to help them develop three talk shows on HIV/AIDS topics around World AIDS Day and will launch “Road to Hope” on air on World AIDS Day, with no charge for airtime. All through the week before and after World AIDS Day, ZNBC will broadcast HCP audio and radio materials without charging for airtime.
